Kenya is the classic African safari destination, and this ten-day family adventure is a great introduction to the continent�s famous residents. The Masai Mara, with its endless grasslands sprinkled with acacia trees and an astonishing variety of wildlife, is the ideal place for children to have their first sightings of lions, elephants, giraffes, and cheetahs.

Day 1 Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where you will be picked up and driven to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Ol Pejeta lies in a natural crater beneath Mount Kenya--this country's highest peak at 5,199 meters. In doing so, we will appreciate this park's devotion to preserving endangered animals. We stop at The Safari park hotel for lunch en-route to Sweetwaters Serena Camp, where we will enjoy the night in their tented-platform accommodations.

Day 02 Aberdares National Park

Early game drive at 0615hrs.We will have our last game drive before returning for breakfast at the camp at 0830hrs. We depart after breakfast and drive to Aberdare National Park. The Aberdare National Park covers 766 square kilometers and forms part of the Aberdare Mountain Range. The park contains a wide range of landscapes - from mountain peaks that rise to 4,000 meters above sea level to their deep, v-shaped valleys intersected by streams, rivers, and waterfalls. Arrive in time for lunch at the Aberdare Country Club before being transferred to The Ark for Dinner and Overnight Stay.

Day 03 Lake Nakuru National Park

Depart after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for Rhinos and big herds of Buffalos. Arrive in time for lunch at Sarova Lion hill lodge followed by an evening game at 1600hrs returning at 1845hrs for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 Masai Mara National Park

After breakfast at the lodge, we drive to Maasai Mara National Park; this massive animal reserve is situated on the lands of the Maasai tribe, who are almost completely dependent on their livestock for sustenance. The Mara is known for some stunning photographic backdrops. Arrive at Sarova Mara Game Camp in time for your check-in. Lunch at the lodge before an afternoon game drive at 1600hrs returning at 1845hrs for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 Masai Mara National Park

We start early in the Mara with a 0615hrs game drive--the best time to see the big cats on the prowl--no wonder the BBC wildlife channel's Big Cat Diary is filmed here! Time will be provided during the day for your leisure and fully enjoying the lodge before and after lunch. After lunch, an afternoon game drive at 1600hrs returning to the lodge at 1845hrs for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 Masai Mara National Park

Early morning game drive at 0615hrs. Returning for breakfast at 0830hrs. Mid-morning, there is an optional visit to the Maasai homesteads at an extra cost. After lunch, an afternoon game drives at 1600hrs, returning to the lodge in the evening at 1845hrs.
Dinner and overnight stay at Sarova Mara Game Camp.

Day 7 Lake Naivasha

Early morning game drives at 0615hrs returning to the lodge at 0830hrs for breakfast. After breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha. We will have lunch at Naivasha Sopa Lodge then have a delightful boat ride, spotting hippos in the water and native birds, including African fish eagles, Goliath heron, and Jacanas. We will have a stroll on Crescent Island, famous for its landscape scenes from the movie "Out of Africa," before heading to the home of Joy Adamson--known for her love of Elsa the lioness in another African movie, "Born Free."

Day 8 Amboseli National Park

Depart after breakfast at 0700hrs for the beautiful Amboseli National Park in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro's snowy peaks, standing at 5,895 meters. This park's 1800 plus elephants have been recorded and studied since the 1970s by Cynthia Moss' legendary Elephant Trust. Witness the incredible variety of wildlife communing as the one here, including giraffes, zebra, Cape buffalo, cheetahs, and hundreds of indigenous bird species. Lunch will be provided at Amboseli Serena Lodge, followed by an evening game drive at 1600hrs returning to the lodge at 1845hrs for an abundant buffet dinner.

Day 9 Nairobi

Early morning game drive at 0615hrs, return to the lodge for breakfast at 0830hrs, then depart for Nairobi. Arrive at Ole Sereni hotel for your check-in. After check-in, you will depart for a tour of Karen Blixen's home--famed author of Out of Africa--and enjoy lunch at the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden (included in safari fee.) Then we will provide a unique shopping experience with a local Maasai jewelry designer, Bizzy Lizzy, and then head to Ole Sereni for dinner.

Day 10 Nairobi

Early morning check out of the hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
